I have offices in New York City and in New Rochelle, NY.
I see patients by appointment in my home office in New Rochelle, NY (914 637-0908). I also see patients on Tuesdays in Manhattan at the Healthy Tao Center, (212) 722-2441. You may contact me here.
Appointments require enough time for in-depth evaluation and treatment. and may include nutritional counseling or alternative treatment which is not covered by insurance. Most consultations require at least one hour. Surgery, lab work, and supplements, if required, are extra. I do not participate in any insurance companies or HMO's, in order to give a high level of care, but I do give patients a superbill to submit to their insurance company to obtain reimbursement. Preliminary telephone consultation with you or your referring physician may be necessary to make the actual visit as productive as possible. I am often able to conduct many of my follow up visits more briefly, by phone, to save in travel time and your expense, with in person visits only as necessary.
Time can be used most efficiently if you compile some information beforehand. Make a chronological account of the problem of concern, with time-related exposures, illnesses, and events included. When possible, collect and important medical records or summaries, and copies of significant lab and other test reports to bring with you. Keep a diary of what you actually eat for a few days before your visit. Jot down what you eat at each meal.
Email questions I welcome e-mail inquiries about visits, and need your full name and phone number to provide answers.
I regret that I am unable to answer e-mail with questions directly or indirectly related to your diagnosis and treatment without having seen you. Without a more complete understanding of your unique condition, I could be giving information which is not beneficial to you.
Telephone consultations I do telephone consultations when it is difficult or impossible for a patient to get to New York. I can often give a valuable perspective on what approaches to take to control a difficult condition, and how to assemble a team to do so. I may also be able to make specific recommendations for the actual steps in care. You should have already been seen by a dermatologist or other physician for his condition and has diagnostic information, send or e-mail photos, and be willing to sign a release acknowledging the limits of my diagnostic ability without actually seeing you in person.
